The PSA’s Early Career Network is delighted to be hosting a free pre-conference Early Career Day, for those attending PSA23, on Sunday 2 April. The day is designed to provide several useful panels and workshops which aim to bolster confidence and knowledge around building your career. With lots of sessions taking place, you can curate your schedule and choose what to attend throughout the day.

Sessions will include but are not limited to:

  • CV and cover letters workshop
  • Panel on navigating both academic and non-academic careers after your PhD
  • Academic grant-writing workshop
  • Roundtable on dealing with rejection
  • Introduction to Knowledge Exchange and impact workshop
  • Everyday cybersecurity for researchers workshop
  • Panel on using technology in research

As we navigate our academic and professional lives, having strong support networks around us is invaluable. That’s why the PSA ECN places great emphasis on providing opportunities for networking and connecting with fellow early career and PhD peers in a relaxed and friendly environment. Alongside our workshops and panels, our Early Career day will include the chance to socialise with your peers, over refreshment or evening drinks.

Please select the ECN Early Career Day in the ‘workshops’ section when you are registering for the main conference. Full details of the programme will be sent to you before the event.
