'With a theme of What Next? our 75th anniversary annual conference in Birmingham was our biggest and best yet! Taking place from 14 – 16 April and featuring over 200 sessions and nearly 900 delegates, conference highlights included; timely keynote talks given by Prof. Rosie Campbell (Kings College London) on political representation and shifting identities, culture wars and the quality of democracy, Prof. Nicole Curato (University of Birmingham) asking if democracy can survive the broligarchy, and Prof. Anand Menon (Kings College London) and the BBC’s Political Correspondent Ben Wright in-conversation about what next for post-Brexit Britain.

PSA25 also featured roundtables on British Politics, teaching contentious issues, gender and the elections of 2024, and special event dedicated to the life and work of Jonathan Dean. The conference was also notable for the awarding of this year’s academic prize winners, and the first PSA Founding Fellowships. The conference dinner took place in Birmingham's grand Council House, and an excellent opening drinks reception was hosted in the University of Birmingham's Exchange.

A huge thanks to everyone who made the conference a great success, including presenters, exhibitors, staff and student ambassadors. Particular thanks to the University of Birmingham, Aston University, SAGE, and the British Politics journal for their generous sponsorship. Please see the upcoming June issue of PSA News for a full review of the conference!
